Average looking (5-6/10)
Very nice
Down to earth, easy to get along with
Privately educated
Will be on 6 figure salary within the next couple of years
Very gentlemanly

Does he sound like a catch ?

Why do you need social approval for who you can or cannot date?

If you genuinely like the guy and feel like there would be chemistry between you two then yes.

If you don't and you're interested in dating him for his future wealth then no.

Average looking (5-6/10) - irrelevant

Very nice - no one thinks they're not nice

Down to earth - no one thinks they're not down to earth

easy to get along with - everyone thinks they're easy to get along with

Privately educated - irrelevant

Will be on 6 figure salary within the next couple of years - no he won't, but irrelevant anyway

Very gentlemanly - turn off, sort of thing a virgin would say to describe themselves

Does he sound like a catch ? - can't tell on the internet

Because he's talking about himself.

This is from a guys perspective and experience with girls.

Looks- 5/6 so not bad, potentially could be slightly better, depends how confident they are and how they hold themselves, can make a huge difference.

Down to earth/easy to get along with- If someone describes themselves like that then odds are that they aren't anything like that. If they are like that, then its a major plus for most girls.

Privately educated- Doesn't make a bit of difference, don't know why this is a question.

Income/6 figures- unless she is a gold digger this shouldn't matter. She should like you for you, not for your money

Very gentlemanly- If you mean polite and well mannered then yes, this is a plus. But this can go too far, and the way you've said it makes it sound the cringy gentlemanly "m'lady types"

Final verdict: likely yes, but only if they are modest about the things described, if they describe themselves like that, immediate no.

Hope this helps

6-figure salary, is that all you care about. He deserves better; you're a gold-digger.

Depends if we have chemistry and attraction to eachother. Money doesn't really matter to me.

if he funny/ you two have a good time together and the guy is decent looking than the rest of the things don't matter. you can be making 6 figures and be super nice but beyond that if it's always a bland and boring conversationalist than what's the point.

what about character?
If goodhearted and have 'good' character then the rest does not really matter.

Didn't think privately educated and down to earth were compatible to be honest.

So how do you know you're going to be paid that amount in a couple of years? You've not answered the question.
