'How to play it' advice

I am a 2nd year. I met this girl on our first society social last thursday, she is a 1st year who has just joined.

We ended up kissing on the night of the social, and she seemed to genuinely like me, didn't seem too drunk i don't think.

I would quite like to see her again, outside of society.

I sent her a text the next day to see how she is, got a reply, nothing serious though.

Would it be hasty to ask her out for a drink? given that a barely know her, but i'm worried someone else will ask her first! She's hot.

In answer to your title, only "cool" springs to mind...

Yeah. Just give it a go. If you don't and someone else does you'll feel stupid. If you do and she says no, then you're not really any worse off.
