how to indicate a retake on UCAS ?

hi,

does anybody know how should I indicate that I'm retaking a subject ? ( in New Polish Matura ). I took it on May 2007, on May 2008 I am retaking it to improve my score ( I have passed it before, but I feel that I can do better )

on UCAS there are only options from 2005 to 2007 for date of taking subject, whereas I need "2008" and I don't have idea what to do...
I was told by someone to put "pending" in place of grade, but will it be enough to indicate that I'm retaking that subject? what to do with the date?

any help appreciated

Just put it as pending. Even if you weren't retaking it, the majority of people leave it as pending because most centres don't certificate it until you've finished all of your A Levels.

had the same problem. put the latest date u can which i believe is 12/2007. and get ur referee to put something in the reference. but yeah put the grade as pending and that should make it obvious. good luck btw!!

hmm, I was told by one person that it shouldn't be mentioned in PS or the reference. He said that I need to state it in education section and I could send emails to adm. tutors like this:

"I have received __% in my PL exam, however, I feel that this does not adequately reflect my knowledge of the subject. I will be retaking this exam on ______Nov. I hope that the Admissions Committee will take this into account when evaluating my application. ....."

Do you suggest that my refree should mention that I'm retaking subject?
Should she justify why I am retaking or just write sth like : " x is retaking .... on .... " ???

Thats wat i was told. my referee said that he'd mention in my refrnce that i'm retakin x module because it was one module that i messed up in. I dont know whether its not ment to be in the refrence though. it depends on ur referee.. i guess. :rolleyes:
