# STEP statistics watch

1. just wondering about the distribution of grades in STEP papers, ie how many people take the paper, how many fail, what is the "average" pair of grades for those taking 2 papers, etc.

ive heard different things ranging from it being aimed at the top 5% of a level students to the top 1000. apparently 60-70% of people fail AEAs, is it a similar figure for STEP? and what would the raw figures be as opposed to percentages (say the number of people with two Ss vs the number of people with 1,2)

what does it actually mean to pass them?
2. hmm, so rounded up its about S - 15%, 1 - 25%, 2 - 20%, 3 - 20%, U - 20% ??

what is their value (aside from being part of a uni offer)... are they just something extra to stick on a CV?
