You'll have to speak to your teachers as your exams co-ordinator may have to write to the exams board explaining it to them. You will also probably need a letter from your parents stating why you will be away for 2 months.

Your teachers will also tell you what work you need to take with you.

Yeah you can take them in June.
Just a shame as January exams give you idea where your working at, and lightens load.
Hope relative is ok

you wont have been entered into the exams yet so there shouldnt be a problem with not doing them then.
The only problem may be with missing lots of work and having a heavy exam timetable fro the summer

You will have a big load in June

2/3 exams for each.
to between 8-12.
And exams for same subjects will be on same day.

It's manageable. I know a lot of schools (including my own) that flat out refuse to do January exams in AS because it disrupts the teaching schedule so much. 12 exams over five or six weeks is fine.

It depends on your subjects, but ones usually taken in combination (like the sciences, for instance) are likely to be well spaced out.

no thats not true. they often group them together more.

Maybe it was my board, then. I remember Maths being early May, and Physics the third week of June. Biology and Chemistry were at least a week apart from those, too (I think).

I had maths chemistry and biology all one day after eachother, which two exams on each day. loverly.

You will have some extra work to do in June but look at it this way - January modules will definitely help you out with the June modules. Some colleges don't even let their students take AS January modules and make them do all of them in June. You should be ok, just stay on top of your work and keep it all fresh in your mind.

I prefer my exams spread out and hate having too much in one space of time. However i guess it is different 'stroke for different folks' kind of thing. If it was me, i would not be looking forward to my June exams at all, would be an awful amount of exams and revision for me to contend with.

good luck

You may even do better having all your exams in June - the modules are often a progression so you'll understand the content of previous modules better (e.g. with Maths, C1 is a doddle once you've completed C2.) I think I did better having them all in one go in the summer anyway. You probably won't miss as much work since you'll be away over the Christmas break and exam time, when there's not lessons on anyway  Hope it goes OK for you!
