hi, I'm going to be U6 this Sept, any advice or sample on Pharmacology personal statment. how do you prevent using 'I' to start every sentence? how do you link yourself with the subject if it's not taught at school?? I'm not that good in interviews, help!!!

Look at www.studential.com as a first port of call.

Then, start your PS with something positive about why you want to do this subject. Later in your PS you can then talk about your different school subjects, what you have learned from them and how you hope this will help (directly in topics or indirectly via skills) you to do this degree.

Once you've got something, however scrappy, come back on to UKL and ask whether there is anyone who would be willing to help by looking at it. Most people don't post their entire statement up as this could then be plagiarised by others, but you could put up bits or ask whether they would be willing to be sent a private message (pm) to help you. people on here are mostly very helpful!

Once you've written the first draft of your statement visit http://www.studential.com/psreview/ to get people to look at it without worrying about people stealing it off the net.

hi i applied to do pharmacology last year, and i got accepted by bath, ABB offer, and i got AAB on results day so i am off there.

in terms of personal statement, i got some massive pharmacology book that my cousin had when he studied medicine and i quoted what the book's definition of pharmacology was, and the book turned out to be the main course text when they showed us round on the open day!! (bit of luck!!)

also talk about how you want to make a difference to people lives, improving their quality of life, by enhancing knowledge about how diseases are prevented or cured etc etc.

good luck, any more info just e-mail me [email protected]

cheers!!! tom
