could you be in love with someone you havent met?

ive known someone since i was 15 (im 18) and i cant get rid of them from my mind even though on the surface we have both moved on.. ah; this is driving me crazy, idk what i feel, idk if it is love or infatuation or curiosity,

I do not think so. Infatuation yes, but love is rather far fetched and almost preposterous. Love is something that cannot be defined, but takes months/years to develop. If you really like someone online, meet up with them first before making things official or taking the next step. You are mostly in 'love' with their online persona, how can you be sure it is love?
