If it's not dead, it's alive. If it's not alive, it's dead. So the probability P(dead OR alive) = 1

Even better. Since I am allergic to cats (and dogs) I used an imaginary cat and an imaginary box

As the average cat is around 27x18 square inches we can safely say it would be comfortable in a 30x20x20 box (that is sealed) now the amount of air molecules in this box would be approximately 196644 per cubic cm3 with only 21% of it being oxygen so that's around 41295 of oxygen molecules per cubic cm3.

Given that the VO2 max of a human lung is somewhere around 2500 cm3 to 3000 cm3 i'd say a cat has 1000cm3 so it would take a solid 78 breaths till the cat runs out of oxygen.

Average breathing rate per minute of a cat is between 25-30 so your cat has ran out of air around 3 minutes ago.

The probability of it being alive 1 if <3 minutes , 0 > 3 minutes

Now take it out you goddamn sociopath
