Not sure if it was a dream or happened when I was really drunk?

I got really drunk last week (accidentally) to the point I blacked out the last part of the night. I have no idea how I got home or if I bumped into anyone.

Today a "memory" popped into my head of a conversation between me and a guy I know. I am fairly sure it's from a dream I had last night, I often have very vivid dreams and sometimes confuse them with reality in my memory... but I am really anxious that I actually bumped into him on my way home last week. It's unlikely that the memory would suddenly come back after a week and I do have a strong feeling it was just a dream but it's a strange feeling! He's definitely not someone I want to run into when I'm that drunk cos it's embarrassing.

Has this happened to anyone else?
Ah dissociation

Yes this has happened to me before, although not under the influence of alcohol. If it's not something that's going to cause a problem by all means ask, if you did something very untoward then you'll probably be best off not asking and hoping it was a dream
It sounds like you had a pretty great time to me!

But seriously, if you think it was a dream then it probably was. If I drink to the point of blacking out then generally after a couple of hours I remember.

On another note: How did you get accidentally drunk to the point of blacking out?

I just drank too much because I wasn't thinking about how much I was drinking.

Fair enough, I suppose. Just maybe next time you want to get smashed, you do it at home so you don;t have to walk around blind-drunk?

After all, you're better safe than sorry.

Hi, its been 6 years since you asked but this has happened to me twice in recent months and it's really ****ing me off. Both times I said tremendously cross and mean things, I just can't figure out if it was in my dreams or in real life, and I can't ask the people who witnessed it. Did you ever ask the person you had bumped into if it really happened?
