one page cv for Goldman Sachs ?

Hey everyone,

I am applying for Goldman Sachs graduate programs and I saw in the tips and hint section of their website that the cv length for a graduate should normally be one page.
I currently have a very detailed cv of 2 pages.
Do you reckon I should make it 1 page and delete all the exciting parts which make my application relevant or just go with 2 pages?
(I have a lot of work experience so I find it really hard to delete 4 of my 6 work experience)

Thx

hr ppl have tons of cvs to go through every day, keep your cv brief like they ask and they will read it and not bin it.

if you're applying to grad programs how come you have 6 relevent work experience? i think degree is more important than jobs you took during uni.

I would focus on including the work experiences that are closely linked to the finance sector. I don't think it would make too much difference along as its two pages of related work experience.

You shouldn't have a detailed, two-page CV, until you get a lot higher up. Yes, some people at 21 have founded companies, run huge projects and whatnot, but that's a few lines. Unless you've managed to do that 3 or 4 times, your CV should be under a page. Be prepared that if you submit a 2 page CV, they don't read the back page.

yea what work experience do you have that warrants a two page CV?? knowing about it may allow others to help you better in your decision ........

I got a 2-page CV, used it for all my apps...I have 3 financial-related work experience though (IB internship, hedge fund internship and financial media magazine temp). Also have voluntary stuff I did and still do.

I would reccomend having 1 page CV if you havent got much to include.
