Medical Query

Right I have a question,

Today I was standing at my locker when I felt dizzy, my vision went black and my hearing cut out. All I can remember is a pressure/pain spreading evenly over my head and shoulders before coming to round the corner to where I had been holding on to my boyfriends shoulder. I walked yet I can remember how I got there, I can't remember the details of the conversation I had shortly after I came to and I have scratches along my left arm - the school nurse has suggested that I cut it on the locker door. My boyfriend said that I walked towards his zoned out.

So what exactly happened to me? xx

It sounds like your blood pressure dropped suddenly. This most often happens when you stand up after you've been sitting or lying down for a while. It's not dangerous unless it's a result of some underlying medical problem.

Much as I love giving unqualified medical opinions to strangers on the internet, I'm going to pass on this.

On the one hand the 'zoned out' bit sounds a bit like an absence/temporal seizure (epilepsy) but that woulsn't normally give the whole pain thing.

You would be wise consultanting your doctor about this, especially if anything similar has happened in the past.
