Hi just wondering how you can get an A* in English Lit. Should I revise 10 quotes for each theme and character (I'm doing Romeo and Juliet and To Kill A Mockingbird). How should I do it? Has anyone already picked out quotes for these two? Any help would be appreciated, thanks...

Hey! I got an A* studying the same texts as you. Remember quotes for each character - Romeo, Juliet, the parents and Benvolio etc; Jem, Scout, Atticus etc. about 2 or 3 quotes so you can make peel paragraphs for each point. Make sure you do peel paragraphs - you need an excellent essay!

Hi...i study jekyll and hyde, macbeth and blood brothers....i make falshcards on them. But insted of putting a question like "what did macbeth said that mekes him look like a bad king?" Instead i use my revision guides to do this btw....i wrote out a quote and the i put two questions: 1) who said this? 2) ehat does it makes the audience think/ what is the effect on the audience? Also it is quite helpful to annotate the actuall books of what you are studying. The revision guides have summerized chaoter with annottations...also yes you can get an A* In Lit. You just need to remember the quotes, effect on the reader writer's intention....the problem is that even if you pass Lit. Its doesn't count as your actuall GCSE your language does as it is a lot more inprotant so also try to stay focused on Lang more than Lit.
