    You mean the sum formula?

    Did you go through the tedious workings of (1 + 2 + 4 + ...) ?

If you did, you will get the marks
    in the test I did

    " K(2^0) + k(2^1) + K(2^2) +k(2^3) ....... k(2^11) '' without showing every single one only showed those is that fine?

Well I just put it into a calculator. Only took about 30 secs. I didn't write that out though. I just wrote the answer of around 4000
    You should get the marks.

Sure, but it could have been simplified a great deal, if you had realised it was a geometric series, a = k, r = 2, n = 12.

I did that but for some reason kept kept doing 1 up to 11 not 12 so was getting wrong answer so had to resort to the well and trusted simple arithmetic

Some people take FP1 without having taken C2. So, Edexcel purposefully made n low (12) so that people who don't know the formula can have a good go at it aswell

I have a A*A*A university offer, should I hope that you guys got more than me or something?
Didn't need to call us noobs though did you? If it makes you feel better, yes I did find it difficult, and I've been crying all day since because I need an A in Further Maths AS. So I didn't really appreciate your remark but there you go, you enjoy your little perfection okay? (Also if your offer is A*A*A, like it really matters if you get 100?)

I'm sorry to hear this, I do talk recklessly sometimes, I apologise.

You still have two modules left, no need for tears, cheer up and get studying.

    Cambridge A*A*A 1,1

    Warwick A*A*A 1

    Imperial blah blah
So you have offers for more than two universities? What happened for a firm and insurance choice?

Even if your proof isn't on the mark scheme, will you get full credit? I multiplied f(k) by 27 instead but still proved it

Mathematics. I started Year 12 in September 2015 and decided that I'd take all my qualifications at the end of Year 13. I actually took C1 in Year 11, but got 94. So, retook in Year 13.

    a.) -3-2i [1]
    b.) a=2, b=-11 [5]

    Question 7: Coordinate systems

    b.) D: (-a , -3/2 a)
    c.) (15a2)/16
How many marks was part 2 and 3 for question 7. I forgot to work out p so found everything out in terms of a and p, how many marks will I loose? Thanks

Can someone please explain why for 6b it wasn't 2.5. My thought process was 4p-10=0 so p=2.5? why is this wrong?
