Making friends outside of your course in uni? watch

    • Thread Starter

    Hi everyone,

not that I don't want to be friends with people within my course, I have an offer for such a small course that I wonder if people can easily make friends outside of their course.

I am a little worried about how some people may only want to stick with their coursemates and just hang out with them outside of lectures as well? Or do people more commonly make pals everywhere like not only their course but societies, clubs, etc.

What was your (or someone you known) experience forming a friendship group or general friends in uni? CHeers.

Sorry, just starting to get nervous enough for uni now!

You can meet and make friends with people with joining clubs, societies based on your interests as well as meet ups.

Most my friends are from different courses or years, find a society with an interest of yours and take it from there really, make sure you try loads at fresher's fair. You'll probably have loads of mixers throughout the year too. To answer your question is very easy to make friends outside of your course.

My closest friends from university were not from my course, I met them through societies.

Societies mostly, perhaps do some volunteering at a local shop.

Do you agree with the PM's proposal to cut tuition fees for some courses?
