I am just wondering if anyone knows the core competencies that are accessed to become a PCSO in 2017?

I think it will be something along the lines of:
Effective communication skills
Community and customer focus/Customer service (customers are service users)
Respect for race and diversity
Personal responsibility (including resilience and ability to think for yourself and to take the lead)
The questions on the assessment form should point you in the right direction. After you have written your answers, think of at least one other example for each to take with you to interview.
