What are some important quotes for certain characters, and how many quotes should ideally be learnt for each character?

Generally, not many quotes are needed unless you are able to explain each of your quotes and why they were used, and potentially the effect it has on the reader. Heres a few:
Beatrice: 'Kill Claudio' 'I had rather hear my dog bark at a crow than a man swear he loves me' 'Oh no my soul, my cousin is belied
Hero: ' And surely as I line, I am a maid' 'One Hero died defiled, but I do line'
Honestly just use short quotes that you will acc remember and explain them dont just chuck them in
