Anyone else find it funny that I, as a citizen of a commonwealth nation, am allowed to vote in UK elections, but have lesser immigration rights than Europeans (lol)

Is there such a thing as a British citizen whose ancestry isn't of immigrant origin?

There are British Overseas Citizens with the right to vote but no right of abode in the UK. A BOC who is living in the UK (for example under a student visa) can vote but must leave when their visa expires.
