The Drawbridge next to the hippodrome, £1.80 for a fosters or John smiths

Is that the cheapest?! There's cheaper than that in Bath (Lamb and Lion - £1 a pint!)

Only pubs i've been into in Bristol are Yates's on Broad Quay (now called something else) and the Reckless Engineer opposite the station (now a trendy wine bar i think)

yates is in the process ofbeing turned into some resturant. That was the best i could come up with tbh :p: i dont go out in town much anymore

As I recall, the Student Union Bar host "pound-a-pint" events on a routine basis. Unfortunately it's Carling (and such ilk), so one might argue that they should by rights be paying you; but seeing as a 'pint' doesn't necessarily differentiate between actual beer and glorified horse-piss, my recommendation (ominously) stands.

I know where I'll be heading when I decide to visit Bath for the day!

i should point out that the pound a pint offer is only on carling (thats assuming they still do it)

...and Fosters, which is merely hops flavoured gnat's piss as opposed to watered down hops flavoured gnat's piss.

i go to weatherspoons for drink bargains. a jug of mai tai (thats 4 x 50ml of rum - 8 units of alcohol) for £5.40

White Hart is pretty good, Corri tap if you want to get hammered on cider pretty quick (its not the cheapest but its insanely strong) and yes, the union drinks in general are pretty damn cheap.

£1.90 for a carling in Ramshakle Friday nights (In the Carling academy)
The Hatchet used to do £1 bottle of XXXX and maybe fosters a while back. I haven't been in a while though so I'm not sure.

white hart mondays are good

Reply 19

Aye, pound a pint at the white hart on mondays, ~£1.80 usually. £2.50 a pint at the corrie tap but after 4/5 youll be mindlessly drunk since they sell a variety of strong (but very nice) ciders. Badock has the cheapest bar this year with £1.20 pints, most halls are £1.50 but you can always walk the 2 minutes to badock from whichever stoke bishop hall your in.
