She comes from an upper middle class family and she has pretty much been handed most things on a plate. She is going in to a profession that pays roughly 35k a year. Does she sound spoilt?

Being spoilt isn't necessarily about how much money you have or how privileged your lifestyle is, but about your attitude towards it. If she acts smug or think she's better than other people simply because she's got more money than them, she's spoilt.

You can't be handed a good education, you still need to put the work in.

Just because she's well off doesn't mean she's spoilt, even if she has been "handed most things on a plate" that's her parents decision to treat their daughter that way because of how well off they are
    35k a year isn't a lot
Judge personality and character not money
