Completing the Square Watch

    Hey I need a bit of help with completing the square with discriminants. Here's the question:

    Look at your sketch. Perform the transformation that is f(x+2)-3 and see whether that new graph crosses the x-axis or not.

    Horizontal translations have no effect here, so you can ignore them.

    Ahh thank you! I was so caught up on the discriminants we learnt in class that i forgot my basics.
