Not senghetto, but after a night out on Monday, walking through Taly South, saw four welsh guys trying to set an England flag on fire and post it through someone's letter box.

Awwww.... the Ghetto the Ghetto... how I miss it so... I was in flat K7 in the 06-07 year... damn that place rocked... I have a number of stories from that place that I can share with the new inhabitants (passing on the legends innit).

1. Noticed recently that all the balconies now have an iron bar across them. This is a recent acquisition, quite possibly made because last year my mate sam fell from the balcony outside G12. That's 3 whole stories btw. And he survived with nothing more than a few broken bones.
2. Drunken footy in the courtyard. One notable occasion was when some guys kept kicking the ball against my mate in G1's window during exam period. After a few threats she went out there and stabbed their ball with a knife. They didn't do that one again.
3. K9-omg anyone living in that flat- i have soooo many stories about it (I know live with 4 of the ex-inhabitants). Particularly the fire door between rooms 3 and 4- a screwdriver was acquired which meant that pranks were constantly being played on the guy in room 3. These included relocating all the dining room in there complete with set table, barracading him in there using the chairs and removing his mattress and wedging it on the hall ceiling.
4. Trevithick food- ugh- and the daily trek to Trev from K block which meant a guided tour of all the stuff that gets "disposed of" in that alley.
5. Summer BBQs under the K-block tree. :smile:

6. K-block fire alarms: used to get set off on an almost weekly basis til they caught the ****ers that did it.
7. Not me, but my mates in G10 and H11 used to have conversations through the pipe in their kitchen. I never experienced this directly, but apparently an egg was once sent though it.
There's probs loaaaaads more. I miss the ghetto sooo much you guys really do not appreciate how fab it is (and how close it is to everything) until u move away. CHERISH EVERY SECOND IN THAT PLACE!!!!

Ridiculous amounts of fire bells going off in F block!!! Hope everybody has realised by now that you can use your key to get onto at least one other flat on your floor, as well as random other flats in your block! Big groups of people spying on people in their windows- such as a couple getting it on in G and not realising that most of F was watching, then attracting the attention of everybody else in G, with people trying to climb out of their windows to have a peek hahaha. . .
