So my exams are on monday and I am yet to revise anything. I'm doing The Secret river and my poems (Songs Of Ourselves Volume 1) on monday and my drama (A View From The Bridge) on thursday.

How would you guys revise for lit, what tips do you have for essay writing in these areas, and if you are doing the same books/poems as I am, any notes you share would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I'm not doing The Secret River but I've read it (I sure know how to have fun), in case you need explanations of any of the themes etc.. The only thing I really do for literature is learn quotations; it's important not to view a quotation as inextricably linked to a theme or a character, despite what GCSE English encourages, so that you can see it for what it is: a certain example of language being manipulated which can be used to answer various questions about the presentation of ideas in literature. Essay plans, in mind-map form or as bullet points, are pretty useful since they're quicker than writing out entire essays but still let you practise structure and reasoning. Hope this helps x
