No Macbeth and Frankesntein is on Monday (21st) and Poems and your other book (in my case lord of the flies) is on the Friday (25th)

I think it could be the role of Banquo (Macbeth is too obvious and Lady Macbeth was the specimen paper) or the theme of Light and Dark

Do you think they will make it really hard for us as we have the new 9-1 grades maybe asking about Malcom or someone not as important in the play?

Malcolm is a bit too obscure, there's way too little to write about him. But perhaps they could ask about Banquo or Macduff.

Malcolm- appearance vs reality how he decieves Macduff ' fit to govern?no not to live' how male changing appearance good- contrasting to lady Macbeth and how her change caused evil. Shakespeare suggesting how men can change but women can't

    + good Malcolm not ambitious

It's the new spec so its more likely to be either Macbeth or Lady Macbeth or maybe Banquo but I doubt that theirs not much to write about him tbh.

Actually never mind, It probably won't be on Lady Macbeth since she came up in the specimen paper but It could be Macbeth.

Banquo- how not to be ambitious 'Speak then to me, who neither beg nor fear, your favours nor your hate'juxtaposed to Macbeth 'stay you imperfect beings'

How common person affected by death of divine king - his ghost

'Thy bones are marrowless and thy blood is cold' 'appal the devil'

    Light and dark?

Light- do you mean innocence and sleep- thus death of sleep 'Macbeth does murder sleep'

Macbeth fall- 'milk of human kindness' (milk- white and pure) to blood (red and devilish)

Lady Macbeth dark to Jacobean audience

The question is guaranteed (at least almost) to be on a theme or a character. I've started creating a table of both of these so I can relate characters to themes and vice versa (I was thinking of adding context as well). It's unlikely to be a particularly obscure character and reasonably unlikely (although not impossible) to be Lady Macbeth as she featured on the specimen paper. So that narrows it down to Macbeth (I don't think they'll stop it being Macbeth as it's 'too obvious' ), the Witches, Banquo and Macduff - although possibly others so don't rule them out.

Here's what I've got so far. Feel free to copy

How would you talk about Banquo? Malcom? Or Duncan if they come up? This would mean a lot as I don't know anything on them!

I'm doing more on it atm but I'll post it here when it's done. I'm also doing one for an Inspector Calls (which I have on Friday), but I might end up posting that somewhere else.
