David Acheson is still a Fellow at Jesus College. He is also a lecturer at Keble College. But he's had both these attachments for some years.

Let's hope this guy doesn't Google himself before the interview...

Well that truely has put a spanner in the works...can anyone else recommend me a good college to apply to that has a tutor who is very much interested in physical applied mathematics with empasis on quantum theory (mainly string theory) or fluid mechanics?
You may want to look at Balliol and St. Johns. The tutors at Balliol include Keith Hannabuss who specialises in quantum theory and William Shaw who specialises in mathematical physics and mathematical finance.

At St. Johns they have Ian Sobey whose research includes work on theoretical and computational fluid dynamics, fluid mechanics and particular unsteady laminar fluid flow. Also, they have Paul Tod who researches relativity and geometry particularly where it meets physics in Einstein's theory of general relativity. He has also worked extensively on twistor theory.

    Google myself?!
No, if any of the tutors who've been mentioned on this thread type their names into Google and find you babbling

More updates: Will Shaw is now at Catz, not Balliol.

Who thought things moved so fast in Oxford?

But my point was RA87's interested in David Acheson and he's still very much at Jesus.

Hmmm... I stand corrected once again.

St Johns is SO hard to get into though!
Not as hard as Magdalen. And my academic record wasnt quite as impressive as yours. I say you have a very good chance at whichever college you apply to. Have confidence in your abilities.
