There's this guy...

Isn't there always?

I like him, and he likes me. I'm 21, he's 29. And I don't know whether that's too old for me.

But also, a while ago he was "going out" with someone I work with. And she was married, which he knew. It went on for 2 years or so. I really don't approve of affairs, and I dunno, I just kinda think less of him because of it. And then things might get messy because I work with The Ex.

Should I go for it, or stay away?

That age gap is nothing! It's perfect for guys to be a fair bit older than their female partners because we mature far quicker than they do

If you like him enough then his past won't be a problem. It's always worth giving things a try. Even if they don't work out, at least you won't spend your time wondering what could have been.

Don't put too much pressure on the relationship...just go on a few dates, and see how it goes. Try to keep it quiet, though, and make it clear to him that you want to keep it quiet. You never know how it could turn out.
