Today I have done the english literature AQA GCSE paper 1, and I did Romeo and Juliet, which good, and I did the Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde Question. Now- for the Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde Question it asked about the character of Dr Jekyll, and twice I accidentally quoted 2 quotes, which are in the book but are relevant to the character, but describes another charterer, and i thought they were describing Dr Jekyll. Do the paragraphs that i wrote that for not count??

BTW the quotes were "dapper, red-faced gentleman" and "flushing suddenly purple", which both happen to Dr Jekyll, but are used to describe Dr Lanyon.

I think it will be fine. I made up quotes ( not completely just para phrased a lot but they meant the same thing) and I made them up in the mocks as well and didn't get penalised for it. How did you find the Jekyll and Hyde question? I was a bit stumped at first but ended up writing 4 pages for it so I think I did pretty well

I found it good. I wrote about the above 2 quotes, about the bright sunset quote and about gentlemen and about him being locked up. What will the examiner do if they find out that its for a different character- will they discard the whole paragraph?

No I don't think they will. As long as your analysis of them is good they will probably just ignore the fact it's for the wrong characters
