English Literature - Paper 1 - EDEXCEL (IAC and Macbeth)

How did you guys find it? What points did you make? Predictions on the grade boundaries?

Well for Mabeth i wrote (part b):
- how macbeth is controlling himself by his ambition - tragic hero, divine right of king
- Witches - predictions/supernatural - jacobean audience would have believed then
- Lady Macbeth - persuasive, tests his masculinity 'full of the milk of human kindness'
ect

Inspector calls (guilty consciences):
- Inspector - wants to make them guilty, socialist, 'we are members of one body'
- Shelia - only one the says responsible and guilty, younger generation - changes throughout the play, says should learn from mistakes, becomes Inspector
- Birling - does not believe he his guilty, he 'refused of course', scared about not getting a kingthood, shown as over confident 'unsinkable'
