Surely the 1-5% special consideration that JCQ already provides in cases of trauma, injury, illness, etc. should cover this? Not trying being insensitive, but if "terminal illness of the candidate; terminal illness of a parent/carer; very recent death of a member of the immediate family; very serious and disruptive domestic crisis at or near the time of the examination" gives you 5%, surely this event should do too?
