    Reading Festival
    27th – 29th August 2004
    Weather Warning

    Dear Ticketmaster Customer,

We have been asked by the promoters to convey this important message:

“So far this month we have had 10 times as much rain as this time last year and
it looks like more is coming.

It is essential festival goers bring sufficient changes of clothes, wet weather
gear and camping gear to stay dry.

In addition please, please, please use the trains and National Express. Much of
the car parking is forming part of the River Thames at the moment and we may
have to use some edge of town Park and Ride schemes.

Please check with the website www.readingfestival.com before you set off for the
    latest update.”

Thank you, for booking with Ticketmaster we hope you enjoy the festival.

    Regards

I'm only playing! Whatsmore, I'm sure you'll have great fun wading through the wet. Be sure to send me pictures.

You're a budding Geographer anyway, so you must be accustomed to making the best of shoddy conditions in the outdoors. It's going to be your life baby! Ask Jools.

Yeah - I got this too.

I really don't like the sound of "the car park has become part of the Thames" - I don't want to see my car floating away!!

There is not a chance in hell I'm getting the train, a) I don't have a ticket booked and probably wont get one b) it's a bloody long walk away from the station and c) I just don't want to when I can drive lol

Hehehe! I have a direct route to reading from a train station 5 minutes down the road from me. I dont have to get a ticket in advance! Mostly cos I have no idea what time I will be leaving!
