I currently work i retail, a career totally opposite to the one I would like to be in (electrical engineer), I was wondering what typical jobs a person with an HNC would be likely to have ? (repair, maintenance, fault finder) and weather or not having no a-level math or nvq lv 3 in engineering would hold me back.

(I have an A-level in design tech however it is a low grade and I BASICALLY RECALL NOTHING) i have a close friend that works as a mechanical engineer and with his HNC in mechanical engineering the qualification in no way relates to the job he has, it was simply a tool for demonstrating his capacity to learn and understand. is this the same with average Electrical engineers with an HNC ?
