Funnily enough I caught a glimpse the other half randomly and thought "he's hot" though we never talked, a few months later we met properly and started dating. The standing joke is that I always get what I want.

Everyone I've ever actively tried to "get" I have failed abjectly with. The successes I have had have been mostly happy accidents. With this in mind, should I ever find myself single again, I don't think I'd bother trying to get with someone else because it'll only mess me up.

I think with my current boyfriend it was a couple of months, but then again we were "set up" (haha oh yes blind date) by our friends and so didn't know each other before then.
But with my ex, we were friends for ages, and then gradually over a few months it developed into something more.
