its quite likely, however if you are going anyway get it checked out, its quite normal for lymphs to become swollen and inflamed, but its better be cautious of any kind of lumps appearing on your body.

May be a sign of some kind of infection, obvious or otherwise - since among other things lymph swelling is a presentation of infection. Or it may be a host of other things, from diet problems to more malignant presentations - consult a doctor.

Yeah, definitely mention this to your doctor, but in the mean-time, don't worry about it.

I had the same problem when I was around 14 years old, and, being young, convinced myself that it would be serious. It went down after a week or two though! :p:
No idea what it was, but clearly nothing serious!

The general rule is that if its mobile/you can move it and its mildly painful its just a swollen lymph node fighting off some sort of small infection

OP!
The search engine won't work for me but please please search the forums, because I posted a question EXACTLY the same as yours! Mine went down after a course of antibiotics  Like you I have acne too.

I usually can feel at least one or two lumps on my neck - apparently my glands are just more prominent because I'm skinny. There's a fair chance it's that - you have glands all over your neck.

Sounds to me like a glad - I have in what sounds like the same place, baffled me for years.. get a doc to check it out if it will put your worries to rest though.. like others have said, they often also swell when an infection is present.

They can also swell when you're tired/run down or just for apparently random reasons.

doctor told me my lump was a swollen lymph node. its still there after 5 years. it feels like a couple of sultanas under the skin (doctors description not mine) and you can move it slowly which he said is how he identified it as just my glands.
