The disease of the mind in Insanity is legally defined, while in Diminshed Responsibility it is medically defined. What effect does this legal and medical definition have on the defenses?
Thank you

Im not sure if this is correct, but I don't think it has any effect. They both act as defences, diminished responsibility is partial to murder and insanity is a complete defence to committing a crime.. Hope that helps
