That stupid god damn frikkin effin jeffing structure for the last question. I couldn't seem to work it out. I managed to do empirical formula to show molecular formula and listed the different proton environments but couldn't work out the structure of the ester. 🙁

You'll still get quite a few of the marks but i got ImageUploadedByStudent Room1497362372.837888.jpg
I can't remember which way round it was

I think the structure I drew had C6H10O2 fml

I'm pretty sure a peak at 4.9 meant there was a C=C bond ?

the 4.9 peak was supposed to be 1 to the right, ie 3.9
It was such a nice paper
i'm soooo scared i found it nice last year as well

I got the first picture as the structure  I said it was 2 propyl propanoate (dont think u was asked to name it but w/e lol)

Why is that ?

Thought it was 4 proton environments?

I agree! But found the 6 marker on polymers hard
That was a reaaaally nice paper. Just like last year it was too good to be true, expect 59 for an A .
But wth is a cyclic tripeptide.
Did anyone figure out the mechanism with CN!?

Normal nucleophilic addition, CN attacks the Carbon and the O double bond breaks and then oxygen attacks the proton
Who 61.2 for the percentage yield

I got the first one. It was mean that they put the bit about it actually being 3.9 at the bottom lol
Who got F is an electrophilic sub reaction
and G is a nucleophilic sub reaction
Just realised i got the reaction wrong for NO2 to NH2 forgot to double the [H] 😬
