Girls. What do you prefer?

A. A nice boy who will always compliment and do stuff for you. He may not be the best looker but he will always be there for you.

B. A really good looking guy with a nice body, but with a personality that is not the best.

C. A funny guy with average looks, but who always keeps you entertained and laughing

D. The bad boy.

I am just asking out of interest because although I am at University/College I would class myself as a mix of between C and D. People say I am one of the funniest guys they have met, but I have a nasty streak about me and I dress/act like a bad boy sometimes - shaved head, confident, know what I want. However, this doesnt seem to attract any females who I study with, and although this is not a moan - it is interesting as if I go home and am chill out with my friends - who are all pretty much similiar to me I have no end of offers. In fact, my current girlfriend lives in Leeds whilst im in Hull, and she says that she would never introduce me to her dad because of the way I am, and also says that she likes me cause I make her laugh alot. Met her on a night out with my friends from back home, unrelated to any University links.

Kind of an interesting debate I suppose. Is it a class/background thing?

Definitely A

Care to expand on that? One of my friends from back home is a nice lad himself but time and time again gets his heart broken by his girls either cheating on him, or dumping him due to lack of excitement (a direct quote from one of his exes to me)

Can I have a mix of A and C? A is a bit too puppy-dog sounding- being there for you is good but I like my independece also plys a good sense of humour is a must.

Option A without a doubt. You need somebody that will be there to support you etc.

Well, of those, A would be best for me. I like a kind, caring guy. Personality, for me, is much more important than looks, and I'm not keen on macho/tough/bad boys.
However, as everyone else said; if we were able to pick more than one, I'd pick a mixture of A and C (more A); as a sense of humour is important.
Someone else pointed out though, that it wouldn't be good for an 'A' guy to be too possessive...I'd need alone time too.

Whatever girls say there'll always be something attracting them to a mix of B and D - like my brother, I don't get it..

Ugh, A is the one everyone will theoretically go for, then get bored after five minutes of constant compliments, always being agreed with and having endless 'meaningful' (ie slow and boring) sex and shag someone who is actually vaguely interesting. It's not exactly a new concept:

"It is a general rule of human nature that people despise those who treat them well, and look up to those who make no concessions." - Thucydides c400BC

Interesting how it was the girls opinion that was asked for. And how all the guys so far who have replied to this thread, have had to find some way to disagree.. :p:

Im a guy, but wouldn't the girls want more of an A guy to marry with, but a B/D guy for something more casual?

Its an interesting debate, which is why I posted it.

I'm a guy myself and I used to be one of the nice lads. Back when I was 13-15, and rarely got anywhere with it. Grew up a bit, met some new mates who were part of the rough and tough crowd, and even though everyone said they were no good, they did get the girls easily. And from hanging around with them I began to get that confidence.

Maybe its a confidence thing. I dunno.

I still wouldn't...I can't stand 'bad boys', and personality's still more important to me than anything else, even in the short term.

But then, I guess I'm a little weird...I couldn't go out with a guy until we were already friends anyway... :s-smilie:

I don’t think that’s necessarily true. I really don’t like ‘bad boys’ something about them makes me feel uncomfortable..
I would much prefer a guy who I could talk to and have fun with.. even if it was just for something casual.

I guess I'm weird too, although I generally find girls get over that bad boy thing by the age of 14

Lol sorry but a bad boy who plays counterstrike?
Doesn't really fit with the image?
