Did anyone apply this year for the March 09 start?

Or has anyone been through the application/assessment process before?

I've applied, and am now nervously awaiting news on whether I've been shortlisted or not - they start informing applicants from this Thursday (Nov 20th).

Anyone know what to expect or want to compare applications?
Annoyed I missed this deadline, never heard of it till 1 Nov :frown:. Will have to leverage my contacts instead

Did you apply? Or anyone else out there?

I completed the online assessments they sent out about a week ago from Previsor. Thought I completed the test as I said I didn't want to lokover my answers and 'continue session' then on the next page it came up 'id session complete' but on my applications page it says 'test started but not complete' under the status bit.

The e-mail they sent me says :To confirm that your assessment has been completed and successfully submitted please log back into your BBC jobs account and your status should have updated to “completed”. This can take up to 24hours to update.

Do you think mine has gone off to be 'completed' or there's been an error in my testing? I tried to log back on but again it said 'id session complete' which makes me think I have finished it?

I am getting a little bit stressed about it... might give them a call tomorrow to chase it up!

Mine says completed, I would give them a call, if its a fault of the system I'm sure they will allow you to complete it.

I phoned up Previsor and they said on their system it says I completed the test and thats what the BBC will see. Apparently it's a common fault with the application that the last page doesn't load and that doesn't update the applications page. You think they'd sort it out! Good luck Harvey. Have you had a confirmation e-mail or anything?

Good to hear, no confirmation I had completed the tests or any other emails though, thank you good luck to you!
It says on the website:
"The Journalism Trainee Scheme has now closed for applications. We will not accept any late applications under any circumstances.
Applications for the 2011-2012 scheme open in September 2011"

Has the 2011-2012 one already opened and closed? Or has it not opened yet?

The 2010-2011 one closed, and as it says 'Applications for the 2011-2012 scheme open in September 2011'. So have a look in September! Good luck :-)
Hi all,

I also applied for the scheme! Has anyone heard anything yet? Last year they had over 1700 applications, so i guess it will take some time to sort them all out. Anyone know how many people will get through to the assesment day?

Thanks,

Katie x

Hi Katie,

I haven't heard anything yet, I called them a couple of days ago and they said it will be a couple more weeks until they get back to us. No idea how many people get through to assessment centres, but as its over 5 days I'm guessing quite a few?

Good luck! x
Hi everyone-

I've applied this year too but haven't heard anything either... getting a bit anxious!! Considering we were told to keep November 28th free, we should hear something soon, right? Really hope we do...

Think they said 'week commencing 29th', so assume they will be held (or at least started) during that week....

The job spec says 'Assessment Centres will take place between November 29th to December 3rd in London' and that we should hear back 'mid November'. Not long to go eek!!! xx

Still a bit worried that my application says 'test started but failed to complete!!' should be fine hopefully....
I have also applied and I'm just wondering, if anyone who applied last year is here, whether rejection emails will be sent out at the same time as interview invites? I'd rather start drowing sorrows earlier rather than later.
rejection email for me! back to the drawing board! x
Ditto. I'm off to watch a bit of Brass Eye to make me feel better.
