    Hi- is it a good idea when applying to oxbridge and LSE to include if you have won an academical scholarship to study a levels at a private school- is this a gd thing or a bad thing?

    Ask your teacher to put it into your reference.

    It's not a bad thing...but it would probably be better to get your teacher to put a brief mention of it in your reference, rather than you writing about it yourself. Don't make it too big of a deal...it's kind of like getting full UMS in an exam: certainly a good achievement, but something that quite a few people you'll be competing against will have.
