Hi!So in Paper 2 of the AQA English Lit exam - the question asked 'What does Golding have to say about human nature? Then underneath this there were two bullet points saying 'How do the boys behave on the island?' And 'How Goldi uses their behaviour to explore ideas about human nature?' Most of my points talked about the boys' behaviour, but a couple of them, while still being related to human nature, we're not really related to how the boys behave. E.g. I talked about how the 'long scar' made by the plane signifies the adverse effect of mankind's inner evil on the island, and talked about how this is eventually covered up with undergrowth and bushes - signifies that we are all naturally a certain way and that our innate nature overpowers all other feelings. Additionally, I talked about the dead parachutist and how this reflects how what the adults are doing is no better than their sons (island just a microcosm of outside world) - linked this to context. I also talked about how Golding originally Evers to Ralph as 'the boy with fair hair' and how we don't learn many of their surnames - supports Goldings intention to create allegory as it makes it easier for reader to interpret text's universal message, evil is within us all, rather than seeing it as a story about specific, particular boys. I'm not that worried as I still made a lot of points about their behaviour, but do you think I'd still get marks for the things above, seeing as they still relate to human nature?

I'm not sure if the bullet points below were what you had to rigidly stick to or if they were just guidance?
