Funny bone and pins and needles in fingers

I have a really weird feeling in my arm, it is like when you bang your funny bone and it gives you a funny sensation and sends tingles down your arm and you get pins and needles in your fingers (sorry not a very good description!) except this feeling has lasted over a week now, any ideas? Thanks

It sounds like you could have carple tunnels syndrome or your nevers have got themselves confused... best way to find out is going to your G.P and he'll be able to tell you what it is

Ditto - my arm's like that. Don't leave it, go get it checked. It's worth it. At least then you'll find out what it is.

I will, I'm worried because I know it's not quite right! Thanks for the replies.

Sounds like some nerves are trapped or out of place.

As you've already conveyed you will get it checked out, I am content. :proud:

Or a stroke...?

Maybe it's early Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease?

You're all nuts.

hmmmm....pins and needles? i reckon u r about to combust. call the fire brigade!

You guys seriously crack me up...my medic brain can't cope with all this scare-mongering.

I heard pins and needles are due to a lack of blood supply to the part of the body, so it depends on how active you are throughout the day...but dont listen to me, see a doctor:biggrin:

does the pins and needles occur on the side of the little finger or towards the thumb?

I about 3 months ago my hand started feeling like pins and needles for a day or two before I had a stroke but the feeling kept coming and going. So it doesnt sound like a stroke.
