Neck pain reliever while studying?

Only recently these past couple of days just as I begin to sit down at my desk, my left side of my neck really really hurts, I try withstand the pain to try and do some revision, but I'm way too distracted from the pain to get anything done.

I'm so scared this is going to happen while I'm in the exam and I'll forget everything! I've taken paracetamols which only work for a couple hours and then the pain comes back again. I've done neck stretches and they haven't worked at all. I'm at a loss of what to do.
I think you should probably fix the way you sit and do your revision because it is the main factor for the neck pain. When that used to happen, I used to try a gel that usually relieves muscle ach and it used to work, but then Paracetamol, Ibuprofen should be working, don't think there's anything else. I advice you to go to the GP if the neck pain becomes worse because that would probably indicate a bigger problem
