Bad cough, any advice on cough medicine please?

hi I've got a terrible cough from my flat mate. She's getting better; I'm getting worse! I have assessment tomorro, and i'm feling realy tired, watery eyes, and eye lids are like very warm. And i blocked nose too. This is the only thing I cant stand :frown:

I've bought Boots' "dry cough", but i dont think it works as mine is getting a bit tickly and verry little chesty. So i don't know weather to buy a chesty or tickly. Anyone can suggest a good one suitable for my cough? I'm feeling so weak :frown:

There's a Meltus for adults syrup I'm using at the moment for the chesty cough I have myself! However, for your other symptoms I would recommend a sachet of Lemsip dissolved in warm tea or water for tonight - gets rid of the fever/ watery eyes/ blocked.

Oh! Is the latter one similar to the lemon flavoured powder that we can dissolve in the warm water?? Ok i'll go and get one tomorro after the assessment!! Thanx!!

Beats them all hands down, and i'm not joking.
Cough medicine, just in case you didn't realise, doesn't cure the cough, merely relieves the symptoms, and brandy is best for that.

I was told to get pholcodine a couple of weeks ago when i have a bad cough.

The one the other person suggested i used aswell when it started it get more chesty and it worked really well. :biggrin:
