Can't understand this question for AQA A-level geography

As part of our revision my teacher gave a booklet with lots of potential exam questions, on of which was:
'Discuss the ways in which contemporary urbanisation processes are interconnected with reference global cities'
I know you'll have to talk about urbanisation, suburbanisation etc... But unsure as to how to do it

I think that refers to how one triggers/causes another, and the order they usually come in. But just include your case studies (urbanisation, suburbanisation, counter-urbanisation and re-urbanisation) and link to one another.
