So in my ocr rs exam; as my person viewpoint I regarded myself as secular. So for instance in my closing paragraph I would say "from a secular point of view I am not sure whether or not a soul exists..." would this count as a personal viewpoint?

This would definitely count as a personal viewpoint! I think for a secular POV, you need to write about secular theories such as Utilitarianism or individuals such as Sigmund Freud or Immanuel Kant.
