Accuracy of swab tests?
I have had a swab test for chlaymadia which came back negative. I haven't really got any reason to believe I have it, always been careful, been with boyfriend for three years and never strayed.....but I'm a bit of a worrier and just wanted to ask, are these swabs accurate? Or do I need to worry?

am sure there 100% accurate

IIRC, the swabs have a specifity of 100% (there are no false positives) and have a sensitivity of ~96%. User error is rare but can decrease the sensitivity. However, in essesnce, they are as accurate as these sort of things get.

Thanks guys.....sounds like I am totally paranoid and should trust my doctor!!!
