Look for your nearest GUM clinic. Pretty sure that all cities will have one.

You can get the from A&E which is open 24/7
Go now, it's more effective the sooner you take it

i slept with someone without contraception and now i need the morning after pill, my gp won't be open as tomorrow is saturday and i think the only way i can get it is to pay for it? i am only 16 and i don't have the money, am i going to have to tell my mum who will absolutely hate me? thanks anyone xx

I had to get it after an accident with a condom a little while ago, thought I'd have to pay as I was in the wrong town to see my GP & also it was a weekend. Luckily when I went to the chemist, after patronising me a bit and making me fill in a form, they said I didn't have to pay because of my age or being a student or something (I'm still a bit unclear about this), but anyhow, they gave it to me for free. That was at Boots I think.

Get the morning afterpill soon as possible, next time use some form of protection so you don't get yourself into this mess in future.

She's not really in a mess. It's been like what a few hours and she's probably overthinking it and worrying about it without you making her feel stupid. God i bet your a guy arent you? And you totally dont understand.

This happened to my friend a few years ago. Just go to the chemist and explain you need it but you are a student. They will raise their eyebrows but so what. It's much easier than having an abortion or a baby. Just make sure you are quick about it- the sooner you take it the more effective it will be.

My friend was in this situation TWICE and both times stole money off her mum to buy it from the chemist (slow learner -bless her) but her bf did also go to the shop with her as she felt a bit of an idiot..

she's in a mess if she can't get the morning after pill and gets preggers. he just seemed to be warning her to try and think before she does -so to speak.

not all men are bastards.

Maybe came across as harsh, but the fact is if you don't want a baby or an STI, surely you use protection if you are going to have sex, obviously guy involved in this has been just as silly.

And bull**** to your comment that I don't understand.

You shouldnt just assume she doenst want to get pregnant. What if she doesnt get an after pill and tehn finds out she has a child inside her, she might regret a silly mistake doenst mena shell regret having a baby....

Maybe you should think before you speak x

I don't think there are many 16 year old's who want to get pregnant.

You have no room to talk love, considering you are 15 sleeping with a 28 year old and doing drugs  think you know it all do you? I think you need to watch what you say to people, it might come back and bite you.

I work at Boots and if you are between the ages of 16 and 24 (I think) you can get it for free. You have to have a 5-10 minute consultation with the pharmacist, but it's nothing really and they're really nice. Go as soon as possible, because as was said above, the sooner the better

Phone NHS direct, they can help.

Its effective up to 72 hours after unprotected sex. Not JUST the morning after. Most towns have a GUM clinic or a adolescent health clinic (mental & sexual health mainly)
