Interview clash!! So worried!

My interview for Imperial for Chemistry clashes with that of Warwick. Problem is that I've already replied to Warwick saying I can attend on that day and the fact that my Dad is doing doing work near Warwick that day, so I might as well go to Warwick.

However, if I say on my Imperial form reply letter that I can't attend that day, will this affect my chances at all?? Shall I phone the tutor (on the letter) up personally, but omit the "I'm off to Warwick instead. Sorry" story. Would they even mind?

REALLY WORRIED!!! Please help me!!!

If you've already replied to Warwick that's fine.

Let Imperial know by phone, you can choose to say where if you want, it's at your discretion. They will give you another interview date, they know this happens to hundreds of applicants every year.

Bear in mind that the interview panel only see you as coming before them for interview, they don't see any of the admin *******s that go on. And if they did, I'm not convinced that they'd give a ****.

And if they don't you can **** them up mightilly.

It'll be fine mate.

Yep, Renal's right. Try and make sure you're not talking to the actual interviewer before you spout off about Warwick on the phone to Imperial, but usually you'd be speaking to some administrative assistant who won't care, and probably has never spoken to your interviewer before. All the interview panel will know is that applicant #2175325423423452345326 has an interview on xth November.

Completely right. Just ring up and say that you have already committed to attending an interview at another university (you don't even need to name it!) on that date and can they offer you another interview date please? Shouldn't be a problem.

I had a clash between York and UCL. It shouldnt matter

Universities cannot penalise you for having another interview on the day that they want to interview you. They know you've applied to other places and not only to them!

Don't worry about this. I am a first year student at Imperial College studying Chemistry. Just give them a call and let them know. Don't worry too much about interviews because if you got the interview you will be almost guranteed to get an offer anyway.
