Passoa Party

So who is going to Rosie's party?

I certainly intend to ([email protected]) and suggest that we all PM our emails to each other (or post them here) so we can have lists and keep in contact if this site goes down for longer than it did earlier today. BTW - does anyone know why it went down? There weren't too many people on it compared to sometimes...

I'm not a big drinker and a self confessed total lightweight!!
My friends round here think I should throw myself a birthday party on the 4th as a way of meeting people...they still think it's all cucumber sandwiches and Pimms!

If you have a party but don't want to drink much, don't invite lots of people! Otherwise everyone will be buying you drinks all night and you'll need that cute medic woman whose name starts with the letter H to come and make you better again/send you to have your stomach pumped..!

BTW - has anyone else here had a gastroscopy? Nasty, nasty things! I'm thinking of going to somewhere where I don't like the locals and specialising in giving enemas, endoscopies and suturing people up *evil, evil grin*

I've never gone beyond tipsy (so proud of that! :biggrin:

) and my friends are horrified at the idea of them not seeing me drunk for the first time! I will drink, just not much!

It isn't.

With that, they insert a thick cone shaped piece of plastic and then ram a tube through it. Mine fell out three times and doctor after doctor came and stuck new ones up. It was very uncomfortable and a bit painful. Compaired to having a tube shoved down your throat for five minutes, so you keep vomitting only to have it sucked away, to have your oesophagus hacked up so that you start spitting up blood, having biopsies taken fromyour antrum, etc... it was bliss. Just a shame I'm not gay..! :smile:

My paternal grandparents developed and died from cancer of the colon, so I'm on course for having a lot more rammed up my ass in future :eek:

The only thing which might be worse without any anaesthetic is a tracheoscopy. Now THAT would scare the hell out of me! :eek:

Anyone up for jellies? Red Aftershock works - absynthe DOESN'T - I wasted a whole bottle on that venture and that stuff is well dear! Vodka usually goes down a treat but is soooo boring!
