Guantanamo involved importing a lot of Jihadists who would otherwise have no connection with American onto soil under American control with no clear idea what you were then going to do with them in the long term.

Most of them were captured in Afghanistan or Iraq. It would have been much more sensible to have treated them as regular prisoners of war. Then they could have been kept without half the legal trouble they actually caused until friendly governments were established in those countries at which time they could have been returned to the control of those governments who were likely to keep them locked up without any responsibility on the Americans.

You haven't disproved it.

You just copied and pasted one or two lines from the original articles to try and disprove their nationality.

Seems a bit like sending gay teenagers to those camps to 'rehabilitate' them
