When you fill up the UCAS application form it says if you want news by sms or email and if you do NOT want them by post.

So I should expect lots of mail from UCAS, then?

What exactly are the txts about?

I want them although I never gave them my mobile #, in case they txt anything important or interesting.

LOL - the mobile number that U.C.A.S. have for me belonged to a company that I used to work for.

Does this mean that some poor soul is getting bombarded with texts that they will know nothing about?

I did not allow to be sent SMS messages via UCAS so i have no idea why i got them. However, according to my brother, yesterday when i was out i also got a call from Natwest. Now Natwest were in fact the senders of the message, though they got our numbers from UCAS.

U.C.A.S. have sent me flyers for every major bank apart from Lloyds T.S.B.

It gets annoying after a while.
