I am beginning to apply for graduate jobs but I notice that a lot of employers are requesting a minimum of 240 UCAS points. As I came through the college route and gained a 2:1 honours this means I don't really have any.

Has anyone else had this problem and if so, how do you get around it?

UCAS points come pre university level, your HND was still at university level, what did you do to get entry onto the HND? Btec? A-Levels?

UCAS points are gained at Level 3- what did you study at level 3?

I'm Scottish/British. For us level 3 is equivalent to level 6. I went to college and did an NC level 4, then a level 5 NC, then an HNC and HND. I then went to University and gained a 2:1 BA degree.

Oh I see, in that case afraid I can't suggest much other than emailing the employers and seeing if they would consider you.
